Elizabeth F. CourtneySame sex mediation services in the Inland Empire, Pomona Valley and East San Gabriel Valley are sorely lacking relative to the more urban areas of Southern California. Courtney sponsored RainbowMediation.com.  Over the past 30 she has handled over 3,000 family law matters and has been involved in mediation for the last 20 years. Attorney Elizabeth F. Courtney has gained the recognition of her peers with her years of dedication to the practice of family law in Southern California. On December 16, 2008 Elizabeth F. Commitment to the Legal Community

Throughout her carer Elizabeth F. Courtney has been dedicated to maintaining the integrity of the judicial systems that serve the State of California and the branches that serve our local communities:

  • Elizabeth F. Courtney has been President of the East West Family Law Council five Times ending her last term in 2008.
  • Served as President of the Western San Bernardino County Bar Association after serving in it's board for six years.
  • Served as a delegate to the California State Bar eight times which presents proposed legislation for consideration and voting before the Board of Delegates and thereafter proposed to the California State Legislature.
  • Elizabeth F. Courtney has been a guest speaker at La Verne University College of Law and served as a Moot Court Judge in their Mock Trial program over the past 10 years.
  • Served as a Judge Pro Tem in both Los Angeles County and San Bernardino County. She has also served as a Court Mediator in both counties as minors counsel for the past 20 years being appointed to represent children in high conflict cases.

Her enduring commitment to monitoring the evolution of family law in California for more than 30 years has required that Elizabeth Courtney maintain a thorough understanding of how  courts treat unions as well as disputes between gay and lesbian couples living in California, regardless of which state may have sanctioned a union. Weather it's the ballot measure Proposition 8, the 2008 State Supreme Court decision overturning an earlier ban on same sex marriage or, more recently, the federal appeals court ruling that Proposition 8 violated the constitutional rights of gay men and lesbians in California, the union of same sex couples and the dissolution of these relationships is subject to an ever changing legal landscape.
